
Michael Bittl
is a professionel bowyer since 17
years.
After having been focused on selfbows and sinew- backed bows
of
the Native Americans, he begun to make reconstructions of the great
hornbows of the Central Asian Steppe, Southwest- Asia and the Greek
Antique He became well-known for his reconstructions of Scythian
hornbow. In February 2008 he was invited by the Russian Academy of
Science for to examine the Scythian bow-finging of olon kuirn gol. He
has just finished this all-wood laminated Scythian bow- finding,
In
the fall of 2008 he is the bowyer of a project researchung the bows
found in the grave of tut-ench-amun.

of the Black Forest near the German town of Freiburg.
